Buy-in
The support within your organisation that a change needs to succeed.
Buy-in is the support within your organisation for a change. It is about the people who believe in it and bring others along, from senior management to colleagues on the shop floor. Without that support, a good plan stays a plan on paper.
You build buy-in by involving people early and genuinely taking their input on board. Someone who has helped think through a change feels like its owner rather than its victim. That difference often decides whether a project succeeds or stalls.
Pay attention to the silent majority, not just the loudest voices. A change that has the backing of the top but no support on the shop floor will fail just as surely as the reverse.
