Our systems have grown organically and don't talk to each other.
Different systems each managed part of the process. Nobody knew any more which system held the current truth.
Bebat collects used batteries for the whole of Belgium. Their systems had grown organically and were fragmented; their growth plans were not. We brought structure to every phase, from the first plan to go-live and beyond, without day-to-day operations stopping even once.
Bebat had an ambitious goal: to streamline all internal processes in one user-friendly platform. The starting point didn't make that a given.
Different systems each managed part of the process. Nobody knew any more which system held the current truth.
The market and the regulations in the battery sector evolve quickly. The platform had to be flexible enough to absorb new developments.
Day-to-day collection keeps running. The transition could not put the continuity of existing activities at risk at any moment.
We were involved from the first plan to further development after go-live, each time as the link between the technology and the organisation.
We translated Bebat's vision into a clear and realistic plan. We mapped and prioritised the core challenges, challenged existing plans and set up a structure that was both scalable and workable.
We ensured alignment and coordination between all parties, and helped prioritise what was essential for the first go-live (the first working version) and what could come later. As the link between the technical teams and the organisation, we could respond quickly to unexpected challenges.
We took a leading role in the intensive testing period and helped draw up a Disaster Recovery Plan. During testing, Bebat continuously weighed priorities based on the results, with us as the connecting link.
After launch we stayed involved to guide improvements. We analysed user feedback, prioritised based on data and made the platform more scalable.
We brought structure and coordination. The substantive decisions and the operations stayed with Bebat.
The role that's often missing in a complex project.
Ownership stayed where it belongs.
Replacing a platform while operations run every day calls for a safety net. That's why we helped Bebat draw up a Disaster RecoveryHet plan om na een grote storing snel weer draaiende te zijn. Plan before the switch. That plan didn't just offer peace of mind; it also made the transition from the old to the new systems run smoothly.
The result: a go-live that delivered value from day one, without day-to-day collection stopping even once. A powerful and scalable platform, delivered within the agreements, with a strong basis for further growth.
The integrated platform enables Bebat to work more efficiently and be better prepared for what's coming in the battery sector.
“What was scattered got one place. What was implicit became explicit. From that moment the team could move forward again without having to guess which system was right.”
