Phasing

Breaking a project into manageable, consecutive steps.

Phasing means breaking a large project into smaller, consecutive steps. Instead of tackling everything at once, you deliver piece by piece something that already works on its own and that the next step builds on.

The advantage is that you see results early and can adjust along the way. If a phase turns out differently than expected, you change the plan before you have gone too far. With an approach where everything has to succeed in one go, you only spot a mistake at the end, when correcting course has become expensive.

Phasing does require you to think carefully about the order. Some steps have to come first because others depend on them. Mapping those dependencies is part of a good phased plan.

Programme management

A change that is getting too big for one project?

We temporarily take on the overview and the coordination, so your project or programme stays on course.
