Baseline measurement
Recording the starting situation so you can measure progress.
A baseline measurement records where you stand today, before you start a change. You note the figures as they are now: how long a task takes, how many errors creep in, how long customers wait. That starting point is your yardstick.
Without a baseline measurement, you cannot show afterwards that anything has improved. Everyone has a feeling, but nobody has a figure. With a baseline measurement, you can later say honestly: this is where we were, and this is where we are now.
Measure the things that really matter, and measure them the same way before and after. That way you compare like with like and give an improvement the chance to prove itself.
Digital audit
Want to know where you stand digitally?
A thorough audit maps out what works, what is stuck and where the gains are, before you take any big steps.
