01 · Sound familiar?

Why digitalisation so often runs aground.

Four situations in which SMEs and family businesses call us. If you recognise one, you're in the right place.

A

You have a patchwork of systems that don't talk to each other.

Every problem was once solved separately with a new package. Now you have a collection of tools that create double work and never give one clear overview.

B

An earlier digitalisation project has stalled.

It started with plenty of goodwill, but got stuck on unclear choices, disappointing deliveries or a supplier who built something other than what you needed.

C

Your supplier sets the pace and the direction.

The party that supplies your software also advises you on what you need. That doesn't always feel neutral, and you're missing someone who takes purely your side.

D

You know it has to happen, but not where to begin.

The signals are piling up, but there's no overview to decide which step comes first and which can wait. Tackling everything at once feels impossible.

02 · Where do you start?

From scattered signals to a digital roadmap.

Digital transformation isn't a project you buy in one go. It's a road you travel step by step. This is how we tackle it together.

Phase 1

First understand

We listen to how your business works today and where it pinches. No standard approach: your situation is the starting point.

Phase 2

Set the order

Together we pin down which steps come first. First get the basics in order, only then what builds on them. That becomes your digital roadmap.

Phase 3

Make choices that hold up

Only once the direction is clear do we look at solutions and suppliers. We help you choose based on what you need, not on what someone wants to sell.

Phase 4

Guide until it runs

We stay beside you while it's carried out, and hand it over to your own people as soon as they can carry it themselves.

03 · What independent means

Why a neutral guide makes the difference.

Independent is a word many parties use. Below you can read what it means for us in concrete terms.

Yes

We advise based on your interest, whichever supplier ends up doing the work.

No

Advice that happens to always land on the software we sell ourselves.

Yes

We choose the solution that suits an SME or family business of your size.

No

A heavy package that only pays off in an organisation far larger than yours.

Yes

We teach your own team to carry it themselves, so you no longer need us afterwards.

No

A dependence that keeps running month after month.

04 · Frequently asked questions

What SMEs ask us before they start.

What mistakes do you see most often in digitalisation?

Most come down to the same thing: buying a tool for a problem that isn't sharply defined yet, wanting to tackle everything at once, or letting a supplier decide what you need. That's why we start with the question and the order, not with the software.

We're a family business. Does this approach fit?

All the more so. In a family business, business decisions and personal relationships are intertwined, and a lot of knowledge sits in the heads of a few people. A neutral outsider helps make those choices discussable and capture that knowledge, without stepping into the family dynamics.

Are there subsidies for digitalising an SME?

Often, yes. For Flemish SMEs there are support schemes such as the SME portfolio (kmo-portefeuille) and the SME growth subsidy (kmo-groeisubsidie) that cover part of the cost of advice and guidance. We know the broad lines and help you assess whether your project qualifies, so you can factor it into your planning.

Where do I start if I have no idea yet?

With a conversation, or with the free quickscan. It gives you a first picture of where you stand in a few minutes. After that you know enough to decide whether a next step makes sense.

Do you sell software yourselves?

No, and that's deliberate. We earn nothing from the tools you end up choosing, so our advice serves only your interest. You can have the work done by your own people or by a supplier; we make sure it holds up.

05 · What that looks like

From months of drawing to time for research.

SPG Dry Cooling builds cooling systems for power stations all over the world. Every design took months of drawing. We redirected the original cloudSoftware en opslag die je via internet afneemt in plaats van op eigen servers. question to the transformation that really mattered, guided the building of software that automates the repetitive work, and brought the people along with the change. Today the engineers do research again.
